I can't really remember how I wrote these episodes, but looking back on it I'm glad I wrote this scene the way I did... together with Jack's mishaps it's at the center of what I try to communicate in this episode... Naomi's frustrating relationship with her "employer". Although A.D needs Naomi as much as Naomi needs A.D, they're ultimately a faceless corporation, being able to treat her like a toy. It deepens the status quo established at the end of episode 2 and builds the tension which had been present from the beginning.
