Weaving the ape into this story was a decision I made when I realized I wasn't able to let the Milo storyline come to a close in ep. 4. Like I said yesterday, I didn't want to stretch out the robot fight over the whole episode, so I chose to add this subplot (which I had had in mind for a long time anyway).
